Is it a feature that the sim key is interrupted when you release the first button in button coding from beta48 onwards?🤔

Urm, yes I would expect so - if you release the "first" chord button, the chord is considerdd done and dusted. However, it should stop a repeating simkey sequence... but I guess it should not flush the existing simkey queue immediatly but let them finish... Is it aborting the simkey key (half way though?)

Since I use button coding a lot, I often have to release the key to input the next key.

Not sure what you mean by that?
edit; do you mean button chording (not coding)? But also, "releas the key" or release the button... Im struggling to see exactly what you are trying to do...
I have however found several issues with button chording recently - its always been a bit of a complex nightmare.. I havn't got time to investigate those issues further right now (so no chance of release imminently)
If you cand describe in detail the issue you have I might be able to queue that up to look into too...

For example, set 5-button button coding and set the LMB to 1{WAIT:1}1{WAIT:1}1{WAIT:1}1{WAIT:1}1{WAIT:1}1.
If you release the 5 button while the sim key is operating, the sim key will be interrupted.

Oh so just to be 100% clear, by coding you mean chording - is that pesky autocorrect 🙂 - I think I got it.. I'll have to figure out whats going on. I woulld not expect it to interrupt, but there may be a particular circumstance I had engineered for other fixes that breaks this... the problem when eveyone uses it slightly differently!
But I cant do that quickly Im afraid... At least not likely before next week at the earliest (busy at work at the moment and away this weekend)
